iPAQ H3800 Backup File Restoration Utility for HP iPAQ Pocket PC h3875 Type: Utility This SoftPaq utility allows the user to restore a backup file on an iPAQ H3800 with a backup that was made from a unit with a different processor revision.­ Use this SoftPaq if you are unable to do a restore when you get your unit back from service.­ The error message this corrects is: "The restore could not be completed successfully because the selected backup was created from a different type of model.­" The current version of Activesync (3.­1 and 3.­5) detects changes in the processor revision and prevents the restore.­ This utility modifies your existing backup file to be compatible with either a B4 or B5 processor revision.­ To change your current backup file,­ You first need to determine the processor revision on your replacement unit.­ To do this tap on Start,­ Settings,­ System,­ Asset Viewer,­ System,­ and look at the Processor Revision.­ (Example: If the processor revision is a B5,­ then choose "Change to B5 backup" when prompted.­)
