ScanJet 7400c/­7450c/­7490c series PrecisionScan Pro Remote Scanning Error update driver for HP Scanjet 7490c This update fixes a problem that causes an error during a scan using the remote scanning feature.­ The error,­ and the update,­ only applies to the remote computer,­ not to the computer the scanner is attached to (the host computer).­ The problem appears when selecting "Save As" after performing a remote scan.­ The first two "Save As" operations are successful,­ but the third "Save As" will bring up an "Access Violation" error.­ This error happens most often when saving scans as PDF or RTF files.­ The error is also been noted when choosing to "send" a scan to Wordpad.­ Make sure that PrecisionScan Pro software is closed on the remote computer before installing this update.­ Choose the file you want to download to your system.­ With your mouse,­ click on the file.­ In the 'save as' dialogue,­ you will be prompted to select the folder (subdirectory) where you want the file downloaded.­ Once the file is downloaded,­ double-click on the file,­ the software will decompress and then install automatically.­ Follow the directions during installation of this update closely.­ Compatible devices: C7719A
